The Trump Organization has completed its purchase of the Doral golf resort and spa for $150 million, the company announced Monday.

Trump acquires four of the resort’s five golf courses. The Greg Norman-designed Great White course is not a part of the acquisition. Trump has hired desi.....

Tiger Seal: 'Woods Planned To Join Navy Elite'

Tiger Woods had seriously considered giving up his golf career to become a Navy Seal, according to a new book.
The 36-year-old's former swing coach Hank Haney makes the revelation in his soon to be released book The Big Miss.
Mr Haney writes that he tried to convince Woods - whose father Earl was a special forces soldier in Vietnam - not to go on secret training exercises with the Seals but says the golfer was obsessed with joining the Navy's elite fighting unit.
The coach said he told Woods that Seals cannot not be older than 28, hoping to show him it was a pointless ambition.
But he said Woods responded: "It's not a problem. They're making a special age exemption for me."
Mr Haney wrote: "I thought 'Wow. Here is Tiger Woods, the greatest athlete on the planet, maybe the greate......................

John Huh Claims First PGA Tour Win at Mayakoba Golf Classic

John Huh claimed a dramatic victory at the Mayakoba Golf Classic after a marathon eight-hole play-off with Robert Allenby.

Huh had posted an eagle and six birdies en route to a final-round eight-under-par and was two shots behind leader Allenby on 13-under overall when he signed his scorecard.
But the Australian double-bogeyed his final hole to let the American back in.

The two couldn't be separated and went blow-for-blow in the play-off until Allenby finally cracked at the eighth extra hole when he found a hazard and couldn't save par.

That allowed the 21-year-old to tap in for his first career PGA Tour victory and settle the second-longest play-off in PGA Tour history.

McIlroy defeated Lee Westwood in a semifinal match Sunday morning. He could have replaced Luke Donald at No. 1 in the world by winning the tournament. But he fell behind with a series of mistakes on the front nine and could never catch up.

With his 2-and-1 victory, Mahan becomes the first American to win the Match Play Championship since Tiger Woods in 2008. He is the sixth player to win multiple WGC titles, and he moves into the top 10 for the first time in his career.
